My love for Chinese Medicine grew from a lifelong reverence for nature. I grew up in the woods of Cecil County, Maryland and spent my days playing in creeks, picking wildflowers, and swimming in the Chesapeake Bay. I didn’t see myself studying holistic medicine until I became very ill. Acupuncture, plant medicine and nutrition changed my life. I hoped to help others with these alternatives to drugs and surgery. I am in awe at the difference acupuncture and herbal medicine can make. I am honored to witness incredible transformations in my patients everyday.
I studied Chinese medicine at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland where I focused on a gentle Japanese style of acupuncture. I did an externship with Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in their chronic pain center. I learned both Shiatsu and Tuina medical massage and went on to work for my teacher, Dr. Yan Lu in his busy practice in Portland, Oregon.
My family moved to Roseburg in 2021. I’m excited to realize a lifelong dream of mine to have my own holistic health clinic.
In my free time I love to go on mountain drives with my family, forage for mushrooms and read books.
